Message From NHS:

Hello Camelot! NHS is participating in the Crop Walk and we need your help! The Durham Crop Walk is an annual fundraising event aimed at combating hunger and poverty. Its mission is to raise awareness and financial support for local and global hunger relief efforts. Funds raised through the walk benefit organizations that work on providing food, clean water, and other essential resources to people in need, both in Durham and in developing countries around the world. The event brings together the community to support these important causes through walking, donations, and volunteer efforts. Donations can be made until March 23rd. If you are interested in donating to Camelot's fundraising page, please go to the link below. Our fundraising goal is $250, please help us try to reach it! If you have any questions or concerns, please email Ms. Bev at: beverly@camelotacademy.org

Featured Summer Program:

Farm, Forest, Fun!    June 2-6 and June 9-13

Ages 4-7

Join us at the farm for a wonder-filled week (or two)! Our farm property is home to many creatures, from goats to frogs to caterpillars. With over 25 acres to explore, campers will have many opportunities to follow their natural curiosities. To get the most out of the camp experience, we recommend registering for both weeks. Our educators will have more time to learn about campers' interests and extend campers' learning with games, songs, books, field guides, and more. For example, if the children demonstrate curiosity about animals that live in the creeks, we can bring nets to the farm and see what we catch and gather soil samples to sift through. We can track our findings through writing and/or artwork. We might compare the creatures we find in the creeks to ones we catch in the pond or explore what happens when we move rocks in the creeks. Does that change the flow of the water? If we create mini pools will we catch more animals using our nets?
