Greetings!

 

I hope your family had a good conference week.  From our perspective it was a very productive time with many important exchanges. We had several conferences in which we were “wowed” by our own students and the way in which they participated in their meetings with poise, candor and authentic reflection. I quite literally became teary-eyed reading some of the emails about the job shadow experiences of our high school students.  Thank you to all the parents who made these incredible moments happen – I am certain these outings will count among the highlights of the year. I find myself brimming with inspiration about ways to continue to expand our outreach to the community and the world for students of all ages.  Stay tuned!

The soccer team wraps up its season this week with two games, and one practice.

-         Games are Tuesday and Thursday with a 2:30 dismissal.

-         Practice is on Wednesday - only.

 

Winter sports for grades 5-12 begin the week of November 3rd.  Sign up due by Wednesday, October 23.

Call for ENTREPRENEURS!- Seeking a few more!

We have a small Upper School Entrepreneurship group that meets on Monday afternoons (1-3 PM) seeking guest speakers - via Zoom or in person.  Students have interest in drop shipping, investing and marketing - although they are eager to learn from the experience of elders in any/all aspects of entrepreneurship.

Are you interested in community service? Then the Service and Leadership Club, or S&LC, is for you. S&LC is a great stepping stone to getting more out into the community and serving the people around us. S&LC is perfect for students looking for flexible options beyond the National Honors Society (NHS) while working in conjunction on projects. If you are interested, come to the meeting on Thursday, the 17th, at lunchtime.
