Greetings and Happy First Day of Autumn!

Thank you to all who turned out for our Parent Event last Friday afternoon.  It was delightful to have you on campus and to share a bit about what we do.  Kudos to our Teaching Team for their creativity and energy to think innovatively about the gathering.

Congratulations to Brandy Lemen for winning the Sunday Update Question Contest at Upper School Parent Night!  Her name was drawn from those who answered all of the questions correctly.

 

BEHIND THE SCENES:

We are gearing up for our 3 day Faculty Retreat this week.  We are deeply appreciative of your support of this important time in our school calendar that allows us to truly deliver on our mission of creating a “unique path” for each of our students. During these three days the teachers and I will review everything from school-wide programming to our thoughts of “highest and best use of our time together” for each student.  Your thoughts and input are an important part of this process.

In addition to our Parent Event activities you are in receipt of class-specific info and syllabi (sent via email last week for Middle and Upper School). REMIND:

School is CLOSED this Wednesday- Friday (Sept 25-27) for Faculty Retreat.

We appreciate you keeping students who are ill at home.  Last week saw a marked uptick in absences/illness - especially in our Middle Grades students - and we are eager to stop the spread. Symptoms of sore throat, fever, congestion and GI issues were the most reported.

Deadline to sign up for the Spain trip, with the best rate, is this Thursday, September 26.

Job Shadows - Parent Assistance Needed!
Camelot is looking for job shadow opportunities for our Upper School students during the week of Family Conferences (Oct. 7-11, 2024). It might be for a couple of hours, several days, or anything in between. If you are able to offer such an experience to our students, please complete this Google form to provide more information. (An important note: Hosting a job shadow counts towards Parent Service hours!)

This session of Upper School X Schedule concludes on Tuesday. The next session is in January.

 

ANNOUNCE:
Our Soccer Knights will be dismissed at 2:30 on Tuesday - players should refer to a separate email sent last week for details about the Wednesday practice and Thursday game.
